I came across this Staffordshire vase and was interested in some information about it. Would also be interested in if anyone knows it's value? I love this vase!!

Don't be fooled by the Staffordshire mark. There were a few companies that actually imported Japanese ceramics that were created in the Nippon style for the Englsh market. There is no record of WWR & Co Potteries anywhere in Staffordshire pottery history. The vase itself is so typical of late Victorian staffordshire style and the WWR & Co are more than likely an Enlgish import company who purchase Japanese ceramics made for the English market. IC & E were another company that did this in England but they placed ther own pseudo Japanese / Nippon marks on the base just like this. Value wise, between 150 to 300 USD. A lovely piece and they painting style and heavy beads and gilding are all trademarks of late victorian japanese porcelain. The ENGLAND on the base makr indiates a date of definitely after 1891.
