Could someone please tell me anything .. name .. collection .. age .. about this Steuben bell and the approximate value? Steuben is etched on the glass ringer inside the bell. Thank you very much.

You piece is fairly modern, from the 1980's I think. It is called a hand bell. I bought mine on eBay for about $100 a year ago.
When storing or displaying the bell the clapper should be removed to prevent accidental damage.

I received an identical Steuben crystal bell as a wedding gift in November, 1963.

I am looking for a picture of a Steuben hand bell purchased in the late 1970s and todays approximate price. Thanks!

Hi, this was designed by my grandfather, Samuel L. Ayres in 1940. It was an auction item here a little while ago: http://www.bonhams.com/auctions/14808/lot/1070/ It sold many years ago and I've been looking for one to purchase. Are you interested in selling?
