This was given to me by my grandfather around 1952-1953. My father always said it was supposed to look like Edward G. Robinson.

This is one of the ugliest piggy banks I've seen and I would sure love to have one like it!
I agree - it is very ugly. My Father is gone now so I can't ask him about it, but I wonder why my Grandfather gave such an ugly piggy to a baby when there are lots of cute piggies?! I'll never know the story & I regret not talking to Dad about it.
No joke- I saw one of these at a yard sale this past weekend, lol. I thought it was unusual, but I just didn't buy it. Had I known, could've gotten it for you mrmajestic, lol.
