a friend of mine got this from a relative and would like to know what it is if anyone has seen this before, it's body and top are copper and the piece that goes inside is tin, it also has a solid copper elephant figure on the top and there is a small chain attaching the tin insert to the top.not sure what category this would be in.
My guess is it held bags of tea? And you pulled the lid up to show the different types???
