EV - is this perhaps the work of French artist Emile Vernier 1852-1927?
Piece has been in our family since 1905 as far as I could trace and in my possession since 1976.
4th photo has as good of a photo of the French hallmark eagle.
This looks like a question Agram.m might be able to answer!
