Holophane Explosion Proof Acorn

The prismatic Holophane acorn globe with an Explosion Proof Crouse Hinds head. From the 40's or 50's.

These babies are only 8" in diameter. They were used in factories for general lighting, such as a doorway. The acorn globe screws into the steel Crouse Hinds head (a major manufacturer of explosion proof and vapor tight fixtures) and has a cork gasket to seal out the environment. I acquired several of these recently. They will make very nice porchlights....
