I've got a pair of interesting old hand painted plates. They measure 11 inches in diameter. I Googled L. Sazaret & Sons and couldn't find anything. Any insight or info would be appreciated. Thank you.

Lazarus Straus & Sons which was an import firm in New York City. They also had a factory in Austria that was owned by Marx and Oscar Gutherz. Circa 1900, artist could not find any info, could be one of many factory workers. Dave

Thank you. That is a great help. So the label on the back was wrong! I just Googled Lazarus Straus & Sons and found Lazarus Straus's obituary in the NY Times from 1898! What a fascinating life and history he had. Thanks again!
