I bought this 6 1/2 inch tall vase at a local thrift store a couple of years ago. I have no idea of the age or who made it. If I had to make a wild guess, I might think it was made by Moser. It has a real European feel to it. I have seen some examples of Moser on EBay which had a similar look but am still not sure. Whoever painted the details had a very steady hand.

I found this item the same day and same thrift shop as the amethyst vase I am also posting. I am sure they came from the same estate.

      Really nice!
Check out Julius Muhlhaus of Haida as a possible name.
      Steinschönau too!
Love the blue and the Jugendstil gilding!

Based on Warren's article and photos, I think I solved the origin/maker of this piece. It certainly looks like Berhnardine Bayerl to me. Even the paint and glass color seem to match. The hand-painted design appears to be of the same origin. Thanks for everyone's input.

Vetraio50, a Texas-sized thanks for clueing me in on Warren's article. I may never have seen it otherwise.
