You should also mention that the idea that Butler groupings were by one manufacturer wasn't referencing Czech glass at all. It originated from a collector of American glass.

Surely you know the date of manufacture, if you are confident these pieces are Welz. Where are they documented so others can go look?

Michelle, I agree. It gets very old seeing unmarked and undocumented glassware becors being claimed as solely We lz production without a smidgeon of proof. What is the date of manufacture?

Nice pieces, but not sure either is Welz. What era do you suppose they were manufactured? Did Welz own a patent on pinstripes?

Collectible Bohemian Glass II, Robert & Deborah Truitt, page 123, indicates that the semicircle provenance mark was used by other manufacturers and that Kralik glassware is found with other providence...

Wexford is the pattern name. It was made by Anchor Hocking in the 60's.

Zero of them labeled Welz and zero of them ever found with Welz markings.

Welz attributions are built upon misconceptions like that. It was part of your reasoning yesterday for this shape being Welz, not Kralik.

Comment #2 was in reply to Welzebubs unsupportable claim that Welz received preferred pricing on colored glass supplies from Riedel, therefore Welz made far more colored glass than Kralik and others.

It seems that you make claims about glass attributions in this forum that are not supportable too!

I doubt it is documented that Welz received preferred pricing on supplies from Riedel. The Kralik and Welz families were closely related too, if you remember. Gottlob Kralik & Klara Welz were married ...
