    Wooden plank from an old ship. Not sure how old it is. Going to clean it up and use it to hang something. Needs a good cleaning as you can see.

      It looks to be a singletree; a device used to hitch a horse to a wagon or carriage.

      It is definetly called a evened it is missing at least two more parts. Depending on how many horses your trying to hitch up. The traces /chains from your harness connect to the hooks on either side. And attached to the horse drawn wagon: implement. We use them all the time when hitching our Belgains up!
